Do you know the dispute resolution requirements of the new financial services legislation and your obligations as a Financial Service Provider (FSP)?
All FSPs (not just those that give advice) need to be registered and to be registered you need to be a member of an approved external dispute resolution scheme.
Financial Services Complaints Limited (FSCL), an External Dispute Resolution scheme approved by the Ministery of Consumer Affairs under the Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act 2008, are holding free information seminars in Christchurch, Wellington & Auckland this month.
These seminars will provide information on what you need to do to comply with the law and by when, the possible effect on your business, your options for external dispute resolution and the services FSCL offers.
In Auckland and Wellington Chapman Tripp will also present an overview of the legislative requirements and answer questions.
If the new legislation includes you or you are unsure if it does, you should consider attending one of these free seminars.
Register now by emailing amanda@fscl.org.nz or call FSCL on (04) 472 3725.
